simply praying

These days, more and more, my prayers are becoming very simple.
Sometimes they’re in the form of a line, or even a just word… But
nestled all around them, is a lot of silent space. Sometimes these lines
or words are repeated like mantras which go back and forth. It’s very
comforting. It’s like being in a huge rocking chair, positioned at the
hearth, where your ego is lulled to sleep in the arms of your soul. Here,
true possibilities swim, dream, root and grow. In this comfoture, you
croon and smile not just with your mouth but with your Self.
But, increasingly, what’s coming through is the desire to actually shut up in the Presence… A petering out into a Silence that is as vast and deep as it is intimate and very immediate.
When you look into the face of someone you love. When you are close to
them, so as to smell and feel them, words are often not big enough to
describe or contain such joy. It is like this for me when I pray; pray
this kind of wordless prayer. A love that shuts you up and sets you
free.
When words give way, that is when I find I pray… best
Massimo, grazie per essere stato così gentile con me. Per seguire il mio blog, pensieri, silenzio e parole. Cordiali saluti, Rus
